We are an independent processor.

ABOUT oUR CONSULTING PROCESS

What does that mean for you? We are not your competition. Our mission is to partner with skilled craft growers who are looking for a way to bring their products to market without having to worry about obtaining and maintaining a processing licence.

Ask us anything. Really.
All the questions you have are probably the same ones we had when we first embarked on this adventure. No question is off limits. Check out some of our more frequently asked questions, below
'Black Market' Growers Wanted.
We would like to see those responsible for British Columbia's Cannabis reputation reap the benefits. Those that have been perfecting their craft for years are finally able to create a real business, cultivating what has become the most renowned cannabis on earth. BC Bud.
No. Corporate. Cannabis.
We were cannabis before cannabis was cool. Large corporations should NOT be allowed to push out the Craft growers that built this industry. Not having access to massive amounts of corporate capital should not prevent craft growers from working together to disrupt and overcome the large corporate giants within the legal cannabis industry.
Craft Legacy.
The cannabis industry was built by passionate and dedicated people just like you who have invested countless hours, and have risked much to follow their passion. The craft legacy has a chance to continue in the legal market and become the high bar we are so accustomed to in the legacy market.

Why Choose Us

Our mission is to support local craft growers while working towards building a recognized brand of cannabis by sharing resources and knowledge and only processing cannabis flower of premium quality.

We have over 20+ years of experience. Cannabis is going mainstream, and like every other business it now requires licensing and planning. That’s where we come in. Combining our hands on business experience that extends well beyond growing cannabis – we are here to help you navigate the licensing process every step of the way.

Know-How

The book on legal cannabis is large - and we've read it cover-to-cover. What this means for you, is less paperwork, fewer forms, and you can leave the data entry to us. Health Canada has quite a few hoops to jump through, and dare we say it - we're experts at jumping through those hoops.

Beacuse We Care

When you succeed, we succeed. Although we can't guarantee you will receive a Micro Cultivation Licence from Health Canada, we do everything within our power to attain that goal. Everything is easier with help, and we are with you every step of the way. Lean on us for advice and support on your journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

The first question we deal with is property eligibility. We will need to know your zoning, where your property is located and a few other details that will help us make a preliminary determination for suitability. Please call us to discuss your property in more detail.
The most likely answer is – probably. However, this is completed by Health Canada at the very end of the application review, so full confirmation is not granted until deep into the process. Health Canada’s main concern is to ensure that legal cannabis is not diverted to the black market and vice versa. So, if you are not part of a current investigation or have a lengthy criminal record related to drugs, chances are you will meet the requirements.

Fees can vary slightly depending on how many people in your
organization require a security clearance, as well as what your local
municipality charges for application fees for building permits etc.

Generally you can expect the following costs (please note there may be others):

$25-50 for fingerprinting at the local RCMP for each person requiring a security clearance
$2000 +/- for a building location certificate (this varies depending on who your surveying company is and the size of your property)

Joint Venture Consulting fee $9900

Health Canada Related Costs are calculated on a per application basis, as follows:

Micro Processing licence Application Fee to HC for the Licence $1368

Security Clearance Application – Per Person

(Master Grower, Senior Person in Charge, Head of Security, QAP – Processing Only, Alternates for the aforementioned positions, and anyone who holds controlling interest or position in a company) $1654

There may be other costs associated such as build-out, electrical, or rezoning applications etc. The above list is meant to serve as a general overview of what you would expect to pay to Health Canada and other agencies other than Joint Venture during the application process but is in no way a comprehensive list of costs involved in getting your business off the ground.

Health Canada operates on a 90 business-day service window. This is split into a 30 day Screening Period, where HC evaluates the application for complete-ness. After that, the following 60 business days are for Review. Keep in mind, this is a service window provided by the government. So, take it with a grain of salt.

Yes. We call it Concurrent Cultivation. This means that you can continue to grow with a medical license while you go through the application for a Micro License. Even when you are granted your Micro license, you can continue to grow medically (call us for specifics).

Health Canada’s build out rule means that along with the Application Package, a Site Evidence Package is sent to them showing video footage of the facility. This means the facility must exist BEFORE the application is made. Security and Health standards must be demonstrated. That means access control where necessary and building materials used that allow for repeated sanitization procedures (ie flooring, wall covering etc). Call us for more specifics.

Any licensed cannabis producer can purchase your cannabis. However, the goal of Joint Venture Craft Cannabis is to work with experienced growers so we can bring their high quality cannabis to market.

As for the price – it’s all over the map. Cannabis is a commodity where supply and demand along with its quality and THC, CBD and terpene content determines current trade value. Working with Joint Venture, growers will get market value for their product and, most importantly, will have FULL TRANSPARENCY with the financial transactions of their product.
